PROTECTIVE MEASURES PER ISLAND

This is a message from the Balearic Islands Government

You now have a tier system available to know what the COVID-19 situation is on your island or in your town, and what measures are needed to ensure you and those around you are protected. With the exception of emergencies, these tiers will be updated every two weeks in accordance with epidemiological indicators.

Be sure to check the conditions established by your country both before travelling to the Balearic Islands and before returning from your holiday. You must not travel to the Balearic Islands if you have, or suspect you have, symptoms relating to COVID-19.

BEFORE TRAVELLING

Can I travel to the Balearic Islands from abroad?

Yes. It is possible to travel to the Balearic Islands if doing so from a European Union country, from a country in the Schengen Area, or from a country with which Spain has established agreements on accepting visitors from abroad.

Spain does not currently enforce quarantine on travellers arriving from abroad, but some countries have established restrictions or quarantine periods for persons travelling from Spain.

Guided walking tour to discover the old town of Palma and visit the Cathedral, accompanied by our official guides. After visiting Palma you will travel to the picturesque town of Valldemossa to visit the village in a guided tour.

Departing from Parc de la Mar, you will begin a guided walking tour of 60 minutes, where you will discover, accompanied by our guide, the most emblematic sites in the center of Palma and its history.

 

You can admire the statue of the “Mallorcan slinger”, a bronze sculpture located in the beautiful gardens of S’Hort del Rei, gardens of medieval origin. You will learn about the history of the Torre dels Caps (tower of heads), that owes its name to the sinister fact that the heads of executed persons were hung there as a public warning in the Middle Ages. The old tower was demolished and the current one stands in the Palacio Real de La Almudaina. You can explore narrow streets of the historic center and other places such as the Plaza de la Reina, the Parliament or the Plaza de Cort, where the Town Hall is located. You will get to know the typical “Mallorcan patio” of a manor house and you will be able to admire the Cathedral of Mallorca, that dominates the Bay of Palma and is an icon of the island’s historical and cultural heritage.

 

Entrance and guided tour of the Cathedral is included, where you can discover various places of great interest: San Sebastián Altar • Gate Puerta Mayor • Central Nave • Rose window • San Bernat Altar (Rubió i Bellver) • Bishop Torrella Tomb • Organ • Main Altar (Gaudí) • Altar of the Blessed Sacrament (Miquel Barceló).

 

Departure by bus to the picturesque town of Valldemossa, located in the Serra de Tramuntana, a World Heritage Site (30 minutes from Palma). Once there, you can visit the best known places in Valldemossa such as the Cartuja Gardens, the Plaza Mayor, the Mirador des Lledoners and the Palacio Rei Don Sancho façade.

 

The transfer from Palma to Valldemossa takes place at 13:30h. Arrival to Palma at 16:00h
